Wayne Potter

Wayne M. Potter passed away at home in the care of his family Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 after a courageous, determined battle with lung cancer at the age of 69. The funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church where he was a member since 1976. Rev. Suzanne N. Smitherman, Rev. Donald A. Fishburne, Rev. D. Andrew Olivo, officiating. Interment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908 or St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The family welcomes friends for visitation at Heritage Funeral Home today 5-7 p.m. to share the many adventures of his life. The family will also receive friends Tuesday 1-1:30 p.m. at the church. Visitors are asked to please use the Bonner Tower entrance at the back of the church on Tuesday.
