Sylvia Edwards

Franklin, N.C. Sylvia D. Edwards, 71, passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Foister Baird Davis and Eleanor Benning Davis, and was the widow of the late Jesse James Edwards II. She had worked as a customer service representative for Olan Mills Photography and was of the Methodist faith. She was involved with the foundation for The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. She is survived by a daughter, Susan B. Barker and husband, Eddie, of Chattanooga; two sons, Jason Justin Edwards and wife, Susan Marie Eipper, of Franklin, N.C., and Jesse James Edwards III and wife, Kristina, of Pensacola, Fla.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild also survives. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at Bryant-Grant Funeral Home, and from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Chattanooga; the service beginning at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Sloan officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
