Donald Savage

Donald Earl Savage died on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, in Cincinnati, Ohio surrounded by his family. He was 80 years old. He was born in Palmer, Tenn., on July 17, 1933, to Pearl Stockwell and Jesse Lawson Savage, who preceded him in death. He graduated from the University of Tennessees College of Engineering in 1957, and went on to start his own consulting civil engineering firm, and later, an environmental services firm. He was a member of St. Pauls Anglican Church. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marian Vogt Savage and their four children: daughter, Sharon Amato and her husband, Rick and their children, Melana, Patrick and Sean; daughter, Susan Savage Amodeo and her husband, Vincenzo; son, John Savage and his wife, Mary Pat and their children, Jackson and Ben; and daughter, Stephanie Savage Swischuk and her husband, Michael and their children, Owen and Ella; and his brother, Richard Savage and his wife, Anna and their family. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Browns Cemetery.
