Sidney Hardy

Sidney Lynn Hardy, 47, departed this life on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013. He was born on Jan. 24, 1966 in Knoxville. Sidney graduated from Knoxville Austin-East High School in 1984. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army. Sidney leaves three daughters, Albany, Salina and Sadrina Hardy; two grandchildren, Amauri Adams and Kamari Woods; Valerie Hardy Fugate (former wife); two sisters, Hanan Abdullah and Aleta Hardy- Jones; two brothers, James Hardy and Richard Hardy, and a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration service will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at Highland Memorial Parks, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville. The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
