Guido Taelman

Guido Andre Taelman, 64, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at his residence. A native of Gent, Belgium, he has lived in the Dalton and Ringgold, Georgia areas for the past 18 years, was an employee of Mohawk Industries where he has worked for 17 years as an engineer and Technical Consultant and was of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerard Taelman and Alice Furniere. He is survived by his wife, Elena Raevskaia of Ringgold; three children, Beatrice Taelman, of Paris, France, Catharina "Katia" Taelman (Joshua Baker), of Ringgold, and Nicholas Taelman, of Ringgold; sister, Teresa Taelman-Coucke, of Belgium; two grandchildren, Cameron Pogue and Gibson Baker; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Father Bill Williams officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
