Lottie Mae Navel Marlin, 87, of East Ridge, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013. She was born Sept.13, 1926, in Bedford, Ind., to the late Alfred and Katie Fletcher. She was a member of New Haven Baptist Church and the Auditorium I Sunday School Class. Her first husband, Ernest William Navel and three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Bennie Marlin; children, William J. (Linda) Navel, of Harrison; Philip M. (Robin) Navel, of Milan, Tenn.; Sue Navel (Gene) White, of Cleveland, Ga.; Patty Navel (George) Moody, of Harrison; step-son, Steve (Sherrie) Marlin, of Chattanooga; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the North Chapel with the Rev. Robert K. Schrader officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with the grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
