Brenda McRoy

Brenda Jean McRoy, 59, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at her home. Mrs. McRoy was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was retired from the finance industry after 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Aretta Poteet Chambers; brother, Johnny Chambers; and a sister, Shirley Castleberry. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, David McRoy; one son, Chris (Amy) McRoy, Ringgold; and a daughter, Angela (Tim) Yates, Chattanooga; a brother, Tom Chambers; five grandchildren, Justin and Trevor Yates, Emily and Meggan McRoy and Kyle Greenleaf; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Benny Mills officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
