Loretta Nelms

Loretta Ann Green Nelms, 67, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013. A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, she was a Bus Driver for the Catoosa County Board of Education for over 30 years, a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and the Catoosa County Saddle Club. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Tanner Jones; and parents, Willie Huron and Pauline Taylor Green. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ray Nelms, of Rock Springthree children, Carol Nelms, of Rock Spring, Jeff (Stacy) Nelms of Rossville and Laura (Tim) Jones, of Ringgold; brother, Jimmy (Judy) Green, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Haley Nelms, Taylor Nelms, Megan Jones and Allie Nelms; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rob Borders, Rev. Billy Dean and Rev. Joe Nelms officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4-9 p.m. and Sunday until funeral time at the funeral home.
