David Pardue

David Lee Pardue, 73, of the Sandy Springs Community, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Keith Howell and Bro. Brian Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Mens Sunday School Class of Coopertown Church of Christ. Visitation will be held at the funeral home today from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. Mr. Pardue was born Feb. 11, 1940 in Robertson County to the late Herbert and Rebecca Barnes Pardue. He worked as a farmer and was a member of the Coopertown Church of Christ. He was kind and friendly and a joy to be around. He especially loved his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Mr. Pardue is survived by his wife, Arleen Wilson Pardue; son, David (Nina) Pardue, of Ooltewah, Tenn.; daughter, Angela (J.D.) Findley, of Fyffe, Ala.; mother-in-law, Ruth Whitehead, of Springfield; brother, Herbert (June) Pardue, of Joelton; sisters, Norma Nicholson, of Ashland City and Patricia (Wayne) Browning, Nell (Robert) Williams and Beverly (Wayne) Moore, all of Pleasant View; grandchildren, Joey Findley, Jessica Findley, Michelle Pardue and Sarah Pardue; and great-granddaughter, Kendall Findley. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Gorham-MacBane Library or to the Coopertown Church of Christ Library.
