Martha Corbin

Martha Lou Crawford Corbin, 74, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born Jan. 23, 1939, in the Byington Community in Knox County, the daughter of Mary Helen Bradshaw and Sam Raymond Crawford. Mrs. Corbin worked for many years as a dialysis technician. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rossville, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Fleet Reserve Ladies Auxiliary, both in Chattanooga and a life-time member of the DAV Auxiliary in Chattanooga and the DAV Auxiliary in Byrdstown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Mary McFalls; and brother, David Crawford. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, William Price Corbin; stepchildren, William Eugene (Linda) Corbin, of East Ridge, and Mary Ann Gordon, of Chattanooga; brother, Sam Raymond (Sheila) Crawford Jr., of Knoxville; half-sister, Nancy (Charles) Fisher, of Heiskell; step-granddaughter, Jessica Lee McMasters, of LaFayette, Ga.; and her four daughters, Ainsley, Camden and Paige McMasters and Dylan Smith. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-noon today, Dec.18, 2013, at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge. The funeral will begin at noon with Rev. William Corbin officiating.
