aig Warren Kindervater, 57, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at his home. Craig was born on Feb. 17, 1956, to Gladys Duvall "Tibby" Kindervater and Julius "Jake" Kindervater in Fort Pierce, Fla. He resided in Elizabethtown, Ky., surrounded by a large extended family before moving to Chattanooga in 1971. He graduated from Central High School in 1974, and while attending UTC, began his career as a graphic artist. He was an avid restorer, collector and historian of British cars from the 1950s onward and had a wide circle of friends within that community. Craig was preceded in death by his mother, Tibby. He is survived by his father, Jake; two brothers, James Troy (Linda), Elizabethtown, Ky., and Kent Kindervater (Britta), Chattanooga; one nephew, Lucas Kindervater, Chattanooga; and one niece, Jamie Williams, Andover, Kan. Family and friends will hold a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Hurricane Creek Clubhouse, 615 Hurricane Creek Road, Chattanooga. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy make take the form of contributions to Together for Hope (CBF Rural Poverty Initiative), 160 Clairemont Ave., Suite 500, Decatur, GA 30030, or to The Humane Educational Society, 212 N Highland Park Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37404.
