Armon Hitchcock

Armon N. Hitchcock, 91, of Chattanooga passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband and a wonderful Christian man. He was an Elder at Red Bank Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Armon attended Tennessee Tech University and was a WW II veteran who retired from TVA's Maps and Survey's Division in 1985. Survivors: His devoted wife, Mary Jo Hitchcock; children Theresa and Tom Martin, Phil and Lynn Hitchcock, and Jim and Diane Hitchcock; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Lane Funeral Home 601 Ashland Terrace with the Rev. Tom Martin officiating. Interment will be at 4 p.m. (EST) at Crestlawn Cemetery in Cookeville, Tn. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. today until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
