Larry Calaway

Larry Wade Calaway, 59, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 in a local hospital. He was an employee of AutoZone for 20 years and was of the Baptist faith. He loved drag racing, watching and participating in his grandson's baseball team, the Rossville Panthers and was a member of Team Gramps. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Thomas Calaway; parents, Wade Thomas and Stella Maxine Calaway; and sister, Vicki Lynn Brewer. Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Tate Calaway; sons, Larry R. Calaway and Chris (Tonya) Tate; daughters, Mary Beth Calaway and Danielle (James) Branam; grandson, Isaiah "Little Monkey" Blackburn; brother, Gary (Stacy) Quinn; and sister-in-law, Paula (Jim) Hill; and several nieces and nephews. Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 2:30 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Hill officiating. Burial will follow at the Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made at any Wells Fargo Bank into a trust fund set up to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
