Lena Flegal

LaFAYETTE Lena Mae York Flegal, 67, passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013. She was born to the late James Newborn York and Etta Lorene Liles York on Sept. 28, 1946 in Valley Head, Ala. She was of the Christian faith and she enjoyed painting, drawing and bible studies. She was also preceded in death by her Husband, Joseph "Mack" Flegal and two Sisters, Linda Jean York and Sue Garrett. Survivors include two Children, Kim (Matt Allbritton) Flegal and Robert Brian Flegal; sister, Betty Jo York; brother, Leonard (Sherryl) York, all of LaFayette; three grandchildren, Chris Flegal, Nikki Pettigrew and Blake Reynolds; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Benji, Parker, Grey and Russell, The family will receive friends Thursday Dec. 26, from Noon to 9 p.m. and Friday Dec. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Rayburn officiating. Interment will follow in Fuller Cemetery, Ider, AL.
