Sammie Jones

Sammie Lee Jones, 59, of Chattanooga passed away Friday Dec. 20, 2013 at a local Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Idella B. Jones and father, Phil Jones Sr.; brothers, John E. Jones, Elie Jones, Willie Lee Jones; and sister, Rev. Jessie Hudgins. He leaves to cherish his memory, 2 sons, Shane P. Jones and one other, both of Chattanooga; 3 brothers, Rev. Phil (Helen) Jones, of Chattanooga, Rev. James A. Jones, of Huntsville, Ala., and Dan Jones, of Chattanooga; one sister, Ella (Harold) Lay; one brother,-in-law, George Hudgins; sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Jones, all of Chattanooga; a special niece, Chedelia Jones, of Chattanooga; and a special cousins, Jean Collier, of Chattanooga; and a host of many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday Dec. 27, at Noon in the Chapel with Pastor Rosena Billingsley officiating. Burial will be in Tyner Community Cemetery.
