Emmett Johnson

Emmett Lawrence Johnson, 83, of Sale Creek, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at Memorial Hospital. Emmett was a lifelong resident of Rhea County, of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed restoring old Allis Chalmer Tractors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Ollie Womack; two brothers, Condon and James N. Johnson; one sister, Ida Mae Boyd. Survivors: his wife, Anna Garrison Johnson, of Sale Creek; one daughter, Wanda J. (Bruce) Killian, of Collinsville, Ala.; one sister, Margaret Barger, of Red Bank; one brother, Willard Johnson, of Hixson; nieces and nephews. Funeral at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Burial in Rhea Memory Gardens.
