Hollis Johnson

Hollis Douglas, 82, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 in Nashville, Tenn. He was born May 25, 1931 in Calhoun County, Ala. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beatrice Glenn Johnson; two sons, Glenn (Jamie) Johnson, of Calvert City, Ky., and Tim (Jayne) Johnson, of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Theresa McFall, of Jacksonville, Ala.; and one brother, Guyron Johnson, of Jacksonville, Ala. Hollis served his country for two years in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a brickmason for 54 years and spent 33 years in Chattanooga laying brick and stone on some of the city's most prominent buildings. He was a longtime member of the East Ridge Church of Christ where he spent many years serving in the Benevolent Program.
