Jennie Schorr

Jennie Bell Schorr, 87, of Chattanooga died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013. She was born July 18, 1926 in Toledo, Oh., daughter of the late Antol and Nina (Ethell) Barto. She was the fourth of twelve children. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl James Schorr; brothers Charles, Joseph, Robert, Antonio and John Barto; and a sister Martha Schneider. Survivors include a son Joseph Zenk, of Toledo, Oh.; step-children, Gary (Judith) Schorr, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Barbara Muir, of Oregon, Oh., and Verda Caplinger, of Ashley, Oh.; brothers Jack and Paul Barto, both of Toledo, Oh.; sisters Mary Barnett, of Highland, Calif., Linda Ray and Evelyn Doroda, both of Toledo, Oh.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 30, at 6 p.m. in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Gary Schorr officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5-6 p.m. The family would like to thank, Rodney and Catherine Brown for the wonderful care they gave over the years and Hospice of Chattanooga and NHC Parkwood for their care and compassion.
