Mabel Steele

Mabel Elizabeth Steele, 93, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a nurse and retired from Erlanger Hospital, an excellent cook and seamstress. She was a lady of devout faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Steele. Survivors include her sons: William Steele, of Chattanooga and Jack (Vicki) Steele, of Hixson; grandchildren, Rick (Stacy) Dearing, Paige (Jake) Sclare, William (Dawn) Steele III, Seth (Gina) Steele, Chelsey (Katie) Steele; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Minnie Steele; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday Dec. 30, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Rev. Darrell Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
