Irene Jarnagin

Irene Landreth Jarnagin, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas and was a member of Mountainview Church of Christ. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Arthur and Lavenia Elizabeth Landreth; one brother and four sisters. Survivors include her loving husband of more than 44 years, Billy Hugh Jarnagin, of Chickamauga, Ga.; children, Vicki Chambers, Martin Griffith, Cindi Philhower, Candi Davison, Debbie Lowrance and Michael Jarnagin; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Minister Dick Hillis officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Hwy. 153.
