Loyd Sutton

Loyd Austin Sutton, 83 , of Henegar, Ala., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, with his three children by his side. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 22 years, Cordie Lewallen Sutton; parents, Austin M. and Florence Adams Sutton; brother, Floyd Morrison; sister, Naomia Tartar. He was of the Baptist faith. He retired after 42 years of service from American Lava, 3M, Coors and General Electric. He loved to work with his hands in the garden and repairing lawn mowers. He is survived by three daughters, Debbie Hartline of Flinstone, Ga., Gina Sutton, of Flinstone, and Cindy (Bill) Spearman, of Hixson; four grandsons, Chris Hartline, Corey, Alex and Aaron Spearman; two sisters, Forrestine Blackburn and Eloise Bates, both of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at Forest Hills Cemetery at 2 p.m. EST Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, with Rev. Brian A. Maxwell officiating. Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. ESTon Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and from noon to 1 p.m. ESTon Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at the funeral home.
