Don Edgmon

DUNLAP Don Walker Edgmon, 71, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in a Chattanooga hospital.He was a Williamson County native who graduated from Franklin High School in 1960. He graduated with a degree in agriculture business from Middle TN State University in 1965. He was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Edgmon served in the National Guard for over 20 years during the Desert Storm War. He was a wildlife resource officer for the TWRA from 1965 -2002. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his grandchildren.Preceding him in death is his wife, Mary Helen Johnson Edgmon; parents, Leonard and Eula Blanche Edgmon; and sister, Dorthy Edgmon King. Survivors include his daughter, Amanda (Pitt) Derryberry, Bowling Green, Ky.; son, Shawn (Kelly) Edgmon, Dunlap; brothers, Jack (Martha) Edgmon, Dickson, Tenn., and Paul (Betsy) Edgmon, Pulaski, Tenn.; grandchildren, Ella, Addy, and Emmy Kate Edgmon, Caroline and Will Derryberry.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. CST Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tony Cates officiating.Burial will follow in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 4 -8 p.m. CST Saturday.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sequatchie County Youth Hunters Association or the Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network, P.O.
