CHICKAMAUGA Mary Lois Strickland Teeters, 86, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013.She was born to the late Laz and Virgie Strickland on Sept. 28, 1926 in Walker County.Mary was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Teeters; son, Chris Teeters; sisters, Mamie Tatum, Martha Clark, Helen Teeters and Fannie Mae Magin; brothers, Lewis, Tom and Raymond Strickland.Survivors include six children and spouses, Barbara Teeters, of Chickamauga, Dianne (Robert) Hitchcox, of Ringgold, Vickie (Rowland) Bowers, of Chickamauga, Connie Lamar (Diane) Teeters, of Houston, Alfred Lee (Sylvia) Teeters, of Chickamauga and Kenneth (Lisa) Teeters, of Trion; daughter-in-law, Tara Teeters, of Atlanta; sister, Flora Lee Pierce, of Greer, S.C.; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
