James Kroeger

James "Jim" Hilton Kroeger, 64, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, in a local hospital.He was born on June 8, 1948, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and graduated from McCallie in 1966. Jim was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving aboard the USS Johnston during the Vietnam War. He received his bachelor of science degree with a major in psychology from UTC in 1974. Jim then obtained his masters of science degree in clinical psychology in 1977.He was preceded in death by his father, Hilton E. Kroeger Jr.Survivors include his wife, Janie Harper Kroeger; daughter, Megan Kroeger Lindsay and her husband, Brian, Asheville, N.C.; mother, Margaret McDonald Kroeger.A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in the funeral home chapel.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family and view the memorial tribute.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
