NEWSALEM Evvie Lou McSpadden, 93, passed away, Friday, Feb. 15, 2013. She was born June 1, 1919 and was a resident of New Salem over 50 years and a member of New Salem Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Norton McSpadden and daughter, Mildred Hales.Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca McSpadden and sister, Cybil Lindsey; two grandsons, William David Hales and Alan Lee Hales, nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. EDT today in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend David Brown officiating.
