Beverly McKelvey

Beverly Suelle Howard McKelvey passed away Tuesday Feb. 26, 2013.She was a member of South Seminole Baptist Church and a charter member of the We Care Singles Sunday School Class. A lifelong resident of Chattanooga she was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1955 and attended Chattanooga State Technical Community College. Beverly retired from 3M/GE/Coorstek after 36 years of service. She was a Weight Watchers lecturer during the 1970s and 1980s. After retirement Beverly worked for Luther Anderson Law Offices PLLP.She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold C. and Alta Cleo Davidson Howard; and her grandparents, Wilburn W. and Dora B. Davidson and John C. and Lou G. Howard.Survivors include her son, H. Dean (Vicky G.) McKelvey; grandson, Zachary G. McKelvey; brother, Harold W. "Bill" (Judy B.) Howard; nephews Kip (Shannon) Howard and Tim Howard; nieces, Joyce Newell and Jo Ann Beavers; great-nephews, Will, Ben Ross and Reagan Howard; great-niece Carmen Howard.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 S. Moore Road with the Rev.
