Bruce Ritchey

, Jr.,CLEVELAND Bruce Earl Ritchey, Jr., 77, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed any outdoor adventure.Mr. Ritchey was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He was employed with the city of Cleveland and Bradley County law enforcement and later worked for Gulf Oil Company before retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce E. Ritchey, Sr., and Nellie Ritchey; and sister, Lila Elliott Umberger.Survivors include his wife, Norma Ritchey, of Cleveland; daughters, Melissa Lewis and husband Bob, of Chattanooga, and Ginger Starnes and Mike Terreall, of Nashville; grandchildren, Sara Friedt and husband Matt, Kenneth Starnes, II and Casey Tinker; brothers-in-law, Steve Harvey and Neil Sartin; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Friedt and David Friedt and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors, officiated by the Reverend Ray Cheathem.His family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Fike Funeral Home.We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Ritchey family guestbook at www.fikefh.com
