JASPER Elvia Dean Griffith, 65, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.Dean was employed by The Department of Motor Safety where she took photos for drivers license. She never met a stranger and loved her job. She was preceded in death her parents, Newton and Lona Mae Bowman; brothers, Randall Bowman and Robert Bowman; granddaughter, Samantha Brooke Griffith.Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Dewayne Griffith, of Jasper; granddaughter, Danielle S. Griffith; Vonzella (Tad) Hamilton; brothers, Franklin Bowman, Charles Bowman both of Whitwell, William Bowman of Palmer; Several nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends 1-9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013.Funeral Service 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rab Ramsey officiating.
