RINGGOLD Robert Frank Cheli, 76, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012. He was born in Oakland, Calif., to the late Fred and Anne Cheli. He served as a M.P. in the United States Air Force Reserve and later retired from Lucky Stores after 45 years of service as a Meat Cutter. Bob attended Covenant Life Worship in Chickamauga, Georgia.He was also preceded in death by his wife Joan Karen Cheli.Survivors include his wife, Betty Dalpez-Cheli, of California; Children, Debi Best, Kathi Pelton both of California, Bob Cheli of LaFayette; brothers, Ron Cheli of California, Frank Cheli of Indiana; grandchildren, Aschlyn, Cassidy, Desiree, Corey, Amy, Jonathan, Jon, Cynthia, great grandchildren, Hayden and Camryn.The family will receive friends from 4 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Wallis-Stewart Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes in Ringgold, Ga. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, in the Chapel of the Wallis-Stewart Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes in Ringgold, Georgia with Pastors Bob Cheli and Jamie Chant officiating.
