Forrest "Big Momma" Wilson, 91, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at her residence in Chickamauga, Ga.Forrest was a loving mother and grandmother. She was the 3rd of nine children born to her parents. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Kensington, Ga. She served on the Mother Board.She was preceded in death by her husband, Beverly Wilson; parents, Ivory and Lillian Love Jones Sr.; sister, Lorina Burse; brother, Harling Jones Sr.Survivors include her son, Reynold Lee (Rose Mary) Jones, Kensington, Ga.; three grandchildren, Rodney (Yvonne) Jones, Cleveland, Ohio, Pam (Frank) Marsh, LaFayette, Ga. and LaToya (Kevin) Porter, LaFayette; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Hazel Adams, Chattanooga; Myrtle (John) Horton, Cleveland, Ohio,. Roberta Dews and Mamie Ruth Mathis, both of Kensington, Ga., Mary Lizzy Clemons, Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, Ivory (Mildred) Jones Jr., Lyerly, Ga.; mother-in-law, Lucy B. Heard; stepdaughters Beverly McCroby and Winifred Ann Carreathers, both of Chattanooga.Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Kensington, Ga., with the Rev. Ivory Jones III officiating. Interment at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2012, at National Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 67 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
