CHICKAMAUGA Dorothy B. "Dot" Harris, 91, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, Jan. 3, 2012.She was the daughter of the late William and Mary Henley Blake. Dorothy served Hutcheson Medical Center for more than 35 years as a "Pink Lady" volunteer. She was an avid bowler for more than 50 years, continuing into her late 80s. Dorothy loved baking and was noted for her homemade bread and apple pies. She was an active member of First Church of the Nazarene in Rossville since the mid 1940s, having taught many Sunday School classes and also sang in the choir.Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Harris; sisters, Lucille Smith Huffaker, Nadean Ball, Gladys Anderson Whitten and Josie Avans; brothers, Melton Blake, Fred Blake and J.M. Blake.Survivors are daughter, Kathy (Eddie) Gilstrap; sons, Lamar (Cindy) Harris, Jim (Jan) Harris; 10 grandchildren, Jamie Tidwell, Julie Geib, Eylene Gilstrap, Alan Gilstrap, Andy Gilstrap, Lisa Harper, Wendy Wolfe, Curtiss Harris, Misty Pendergrass and Jennifer Mercer.Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Rev.
