Elmer Quarles

, Jr.,ROSSVILLE, Ga. Elmer David Quarles, Jr., 64, departed this life Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013. He was born in Tunnel Hill, Ga., to the late Elmer David and Christine Quarles. David was an Archery Shooter Champion and loved playing billiards.He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Mealer.Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Gail Quarles, of Rossville; children, Sabrina Quarles, of Ringgold, David Alan Quarles, of Millen, Ga.; siblings, Steve Mealer, Jessie Mealer both of Tunnel Hill, Kathy Gowin, Diane Mealer both of Dalton, Teresa Morgan of Wartburg, Tenn.; grandchildren, Ethan and Erica Kirby, Tristan Quarles, many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from Noon Wednesday until service time at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wallis-Stewart Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes-Ringgold, Georgia.
