Matthew Gilbreath

Matthew Gilbreath, 40, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 in Sugar Land, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer.He was preceded in death by grandparents, Leon and Vonzelle Wilbanks, of Ooltewah, Tenn., and Ruby Jo Gilbreath of Rainsville, Ala.He is survived by his beloved wife, Monica Gilbreath and his two beautiful princesses, Rylee and Makenna Gilbreath, all of Sugar Land, Texas; parents Linda and Jim Olive, of Ooltewah, Tenn., Don Gilbreath (Virginia), of Ooltewah, Tenn.; sister, Stephanie Culberson, of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; mother-in-law, Cathy Lumbreras, Clute, Texas, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He will also be missed by a host of friends, his church family and co-workers who loved him dearly.Matt lived his life in Tennessee, Florida and Texas. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother and friend. He loved the outdoors, fishing, the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Dallas Cowboys. His greatest love of all was Jesus Christ, followed by his wife and two beautiful daughters. He wanted everyone to know that he was not dying, but going to heaven to live.A celebration of Matts life was held on Jan. 6, 2013 in Sugar Land, Texas. Burial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens East on 4621 Shallowford Rd., Chattanooga.
