Elizabeth Gross

SPRINGCITY Elizabeth "Libby" Hodges Gross (nee Futrell), 52, died peacefully in Minneapolis, Minn., on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, surrounded by her family.Born Aug. 28, 1960 in Chattanooga, to Tommie Jo "T.J." and Warren Randolph "Randy" Hodges, Libby was a graduate of Germantown High School and attended The University of Mississippi and University of Tennessee-Knoxville, Delta Gamma sorority. Her career in technical customer support for several companies included Morgan Stanley, Land's End and EDS/Saturn. She was an outstanding writer, watercolor artist, an active participant in her local church, and loved hang gliding.Libby is survived by her daughter, Claire Weldon Futrell (father, David Futrell) of Indianapolis, Ind.; her parents of Spring City; her brother Warren R. Hodges Jr. and his wife Susan Sweeney Hodges, of Lexington, Ky.; and her sister Dorothy "Dottie" B. Hodges, and her husband Harold "Hal" L. Turner, of Signal Mountain; as well as several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at First Presbyterian Church, 268 West Jackson Avenue, Spring City, TN at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary followed by interment at Spring City Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Libby's honor can be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.
