Ira Pace

DUTTON Ira B. Pace, 82, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at Highland Medical Center. Mr. Pace was retired from Revere/Scottsboro Aluminum. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist church, the VFW, and a Korean War veteran serving in the US Army. He was preceded in death by parents, Jessie Alfred and Emmily Manning Pace; brothers, Oscar Lee, Charles and Ray Pace; sisters, Pauline Taylor, Joyce Watson, Pearl Potter; and grandaughter, Lori Gorham. Survivors include, wife of 64 years, Earleene Manning Pace; daughters, Darnell Gorham (Gwin), Patsy Millican (Clifford), Debbie Crowder (Mark), Charlotte Barbee (Steve), Jo Gordon (Mark Stephenson); grandchildren, Beth Hayne (Doug), Chad Gorham, Amanda Jones (Casey), Charlotte Posey (Michael), Kim McNabb (Randy), Kristy Wilson (Kevin), Kely Fennell (Quinton), Karrie Harness (Justin), Zac Crowder (Ashley), Nichole Mackey (Bryan), Emily Barbee; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Jannie Robbins; brothers, Billy Pace and Gerald Pace. Funeral services are Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 1 p.m. CST at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Dr. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View cemetery with military honors.
