Mary Elizabeth Davis, 51, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 in Memphis, Tenn. She was a 1979 graduate of Kirkman Technical High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Memphis. She was previously employed by Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was employed by Delta Medical Center up until the time of her illness. She worked as a Mary Kay Consultant. She was a member of Faith Temple Ministries Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Elizabeth Douglas, L. G. and Katie Stewart; and her brother, Archie Lee Douglas. She is survived by her devoted husband of 17 years, Roderick Davis; two sons, Robert Townsend, Roderick Davis; one daughter, Sherion Davis; two grandchildren, loving and caring parents, Fred and Leontine Douglas, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three sisters; Deborah (Fred) Pride, Karen (George) Clay, both of Chattanooga and Sharon (Carl) Brown, of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Pastor Alfred (Dorothy) Johnson, of Chattanooga and Fredrick (Linda) Douglas, of Memphis; father and mother-in-law, Lafayette and Dorothy Davis; a host of other relatives, friends and church family.
