Michael Jessie Clagg, 78, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013. Mr. Clagg retired from Swift Meat Company after forty seven years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. Mr. Clagg was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. He was the best husband and father in the world. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Beaulah Clagg. Survivors include his wife, Ann Clagg, of Soddy-Daisy; sons, Marcus (Cheryl) Clagg, of Soddy-Daisy; Tony (Sherry) Clagg, of Murfreesboro and Steven (Martha) Clagg, of Clearwater, Fla.; daughters, Debra (Steve) Rogers, of East Brainerd; brother, Willie (Pat) Clagg, of Shawnee, Okla.; sisters, Mary Lou (Forrest) Peters, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Ozella (Rue Dell) Smith, of Boonesville, Ark., and Sue Adams, of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Adam Clagg, Jessica Baze, Joe, Matt and Katie Clagg, Steven, Elizabeth, Zachery, Caleb, and Benjamin Rogers, Seth and Abi Clagg; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Corbin Baze, Lilly Clagg, Connor and Carter Clagg, and three more on the way.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steven Clagg officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service today at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy-Daisy.
