ROSSVILLE James Willard Anderson, 82, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at his residence.He was a member of Bible Way Baptist Church where he served as a greeter and usher since 1973. Mr. Anderson had 22 years of distinguished service with the United States Navy serving during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He retired from Combustion Engineering as a crane operator. Mr. Anderson was a loving husband, father, grandfather and an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Boyd and Caroline Oliver; three brothers, and two sisters.Survivors are wife of 58 years, Deloris Guffey Anderson; sons, James Michael (Anji) Anderson, Currituck, N.C., Timothy R. (Cheryl) Anderson Rossville, and Billy Joe (Sherrie) Anderson, Chickamauga, Ga.; daughter, Linda (Raymond) Hoffer, Placedio, Texas; brother, Freddie Joe Anderson, Chattanooga; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Vincent Estill officiating. Interment in National Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.
