Rosalin Reed

Mary Rosalin Reed, 72, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. Rosalin courageously battled Multiple Sclerosis for most of her adult life.Rosalin was born in Chattanooga on Oct. 15, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Roy A. and Corinne Bradley Bradford.Rosalin was a homemaker who loved gardening (especially houseplants), she was an avid reader, and a lover of cats. Because of her love for animals, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Mckamey Animal Center, 4500 N Access Road, Chattanooga, TN 37415, or online at mckameyanimalcenter.org. Rosalin will be remembered as a compassionate confidant for her family and friends. While she spoke her mind, she did so in a non-judgmental way. She loved others unconditionally. Her family will remember her as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a member of Apison Seventh-Day Adventist Church.Rosalin is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Glenn McGrady, Cathy and Walt Mitchell, Lisa and Terry Wilt; she was preceded in death by their father, Luther A. Reed; her son, Allen Todd Reed; her granddaughter, Holly Lea Readus; her brother, David William Bradford. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Hoover; her grandchildren, Suzanne Davenport, Sarah Oliverio, Samantha Oliverio, and Adam Young; five great-grandchildren; her nephews, David Hoover and Phillip Hoover.The graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Plowman Cemetery. Pastor Christopher Beason will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, until noon.Friends may share memories with the family at www.heritagefh.com.Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga.
