Katherine Fairbanks

Katherine Rose Fairbanks, 65, of Ooltewah, Tenn., passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013, in a local hospital.She was the daughter of the late Harold and Anna McCoy and was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Larry R. Fairbanks.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a tremendous support partner to her late husband who served for over 40 years in the Church of the Nazarene as a pastor and district superintendant. She was loved and cherished by the many lives she touched for Christ, both in this country and during her many mission trips.Kathy was also a very gifted singer who possessed a beautiful alto voice.Survivors include her son, Russ (Kelly) Fairbanks, of Ooltewah, Tenn.; daughter, Julie (Kevin) Quinn, of Ringgold, Ga.; two granddaughters, Savannah and Sydney Quinn; two grandsons, London and Noah Fairbanks; sister, Nola Beemon; brother, Steve (Jodell) McCoy, both of Covington, Ky.; brother-in-law, Dr. Lebron (Anne) Fairbanks, of Lakeland, Fla.; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Roy) Lawson, of Lima, Oh.; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday July 3, in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Russ Fairbanks officiating.
