David Michael Rogers, 66, of Chattanooga, passed away July 2, 2013 at Memorial Hospital with his loving wife at his side. He was born in Mt. Clemens near Detroit, Mich.,and his youth was spent in Middle Valley and East Ridge. He was a 1964 graduate of East Ridge High School and was further educated at Georgia Tech and the University of Paris. In his adult life he resided in Tangiers, Morocco, Paris, France, and Atlanta. Upon their retirement, in 2008 he and his wife, Jacquelyn, moved from Roswell, Ga. to Chattanooga. David Michael was an original member of the Bruce Hampton Grease Band in the late 1960s; he was passionate about music, philosophy, art, and literature. David Michael lived with a spiritual awareness and reverence for the miracles of life and all of the beauties it held.
