Paul Garren

Paul Garren, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013. He was 88 years old.Paul was born in Delano, Tenn., and was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area. He served our country during World War II in the U. S. Army. He retired with over 47 years at Dixie Yarns. Paul was a member of the John Henry Pierce Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite. He was a member of Brooks Memorial United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chessie and Lee Garren.Paul is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Estelle Holmes Garren; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Shelia Garren; granddaughters, Stephanie Garren and her fianc Matt Mihoci and Shelby Garren; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.Services for Paul will be private on Monday July 8, at the North Chapel. Masonic graveside services will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
