Stan Snyder

Stanley "Stan" Eugene Snyder, 62, of East Ridge passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at his home following a 7 year battle with kidney failure. He was a native of East Ridge, born, Jan. 6, 1951 to the late Virginia Mae and William Howard Snyder, Sr.He was a 1969 graduate of East Ridge High School. After graduating from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, he taught high school bands where he touched a multitude of students lives through his teaching of music, life and character. He retired after 28 years of service.Stan was a member of Brainerd Presbyterian Church and formerly East Ridge Baptist Church. Survivors include his brother, and sister-in-law, William H. "Bill" (Dorothy A.) Snyder, Jr., of Sevierville, Tenn.; nephews, William H. "Bill" Snyder, III, of Seymour, Tenn.; Albert H. (Amy H.) Snyder, of Sevierville; great-niece, Melody A. Snyder, of Seymour; a host of close "fellowship" friends, church peers and cousins. Funeral services will be held today at 4 p.m. in the East Chapel with the Rev. Paul Whaley officiating.
