Bobbie C. Morgan, 79, of Chattanooga was taken to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday July 6, 2013. She went to sleep on Friday evening and woke up in heaven on Saturday morning.Born Aug. 26, 1933 in Grainger County, Tenn., to Raymond and Janice Cameron, she was the second born of 12 children.Bobbie was an active member of Spring Creek Road Baptist Church where she held membership with the Faith Sunday School class serving as class treasurer. She loved serving others and over the years served on several committees including Personnel, Finance, Building, Nursery Director, VBS Worker, Choir Member and Welcome Team in the Cove.Her favorite thing was taking care of her big family, especially all the Sunday dinners after church. She looked forward to every holiday and family vacations where she would cook for the whole bunch.Bobbie was preceded in death in 2003 by her husband of 51 years, Donald Morgan; her sister, Wanda Bowles; her brothers, Alan, W.L., Shot, Max and Fain Cameron.Survivors are her children, Bootsie (Don) Yates, Steve (Beverly) Morgan, Dwight (Fonda) Morgan, Brent (Yvette) Morgan, Bekita (Bo) Heath and Reed (Beth) Morgan; twenty-nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Minnie Johnson, Lena Harold, Barbara Stooksbury and brother, Ray Cameron.A celebration of Bobbie's life will be held Tuesday, July 9, at 1 p.m. at Spring Creek Road Baptist Church with the Rev. James Julian officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Josh Morgan, Jeremy Morgan, Caleb Heath, Jesse Morgan, Seth Williams and Brandon Morgan serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Bobbie will lie in state at the church from Noon until the hour of the service on Tuesday.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family and view the memorial tribute.Flowers are welcome.
