Ruth Hooker

Ruth E. "Betty" Hooker, 86, of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 6, 2013, with her children by her side.Betty was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church for over 50 years and was a member of the Hope Sunday School Class. Betty was an accomplished seamstress. She was the wife of the late Raymond P. Hooker.She was also preceded in death by two sons, Mark A. Hooker and Robert Paul Hooker.Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Lynn (Dale) Early, of Mowbray Mountain; son, David Lewis (Evelyn Jo) Hooker, of St. Elmo; sisters, Mary Louise (Vernon) Terry, of Buckley, Wash., and Charlotte Grace Howard, of Loudon, Tenn.; brothers, H. Allen Watson, of Loudon, Tenn., and R. Phillip (Peggy) Watson, of Knoxville; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, with the Rev.
