Adam Mondl

Adam Mondl, 93, died on Monday, July 8, 2013.A native of Akron, Ohio, he lived in Chattanooga since 1988.He was a graduate of the University of Akron with a bachelor degree of mechanical engineering. He retired from Diamond Shamrock Corporation in 1983 as a principal project instrument engineer both in domestic and overseas productions. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and received the American Service, Good Conduct and WWII Victory Metals. He was a member of St. John UMC.He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and loving wife, Mildred of 66 years.He is survived by three children, Mark (Frieda) Mondl, of Winston-Salem, N.C., Joel (Patty) Mondl, of Duluth, Ga., Theresa (Corky) Coker, of Chattanooga; stepdaughter, Beverly (Barry) Ligon, of Chattanooga; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today, July 10, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, contributions are encouraged to The Gideons International, P.O.
