CHICKAMAUGA Rosie Mae Whitlow Turner Upshaw, 87, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at her residence. She was a member of Cove Road Church of God and was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Upshaw; and parents, Sylvester Whitlow and Maggie Clemons Whitlow.She leaves behind to cherish, her memories four daughters, Rose Mary (Reynold Lee) Jones, Doris (Willie) Lay, Shirley (Casper) Bailey, all of Chickamauga, and Betty (Larry) Howell of LaFayette, Georgia; one son, J.T. Turner Jr. of Chickamauga; brother-in-law, Robert Turner Sr.; sister-in. law, Mattie Simpson, both of Chickamauga; 33 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Friendship Baptist Church, 20 Parrish Road, Chickamauga, with Pastor James Brown Sr. and other ministers officiating.The family will, receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Friday at the church and one hour before the service.Interment, Garmany Cemetery.Condolences may be sent to the family and sign the online guestbook at Website: www.willisfuneralhomeda1ton.com.Arrangements by Willis Funeral.
