Carl Dilley

Carl F. Dilley, formerly of Warner Robins, Ga., and Chattanooga, passed into the presence of the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2013, in Charlotte, N.C., following several months of ill health.Carl was born on Jan. 23, 1940, to Edna Amy Stamps Dilley and Carl Henry Dilley. After graduation from Central High School in 1958 and service in the U. S. Air Force, he graduated from Tennessee Temple College in 1968 and Chattanooga State Technical College in 1974. He was employed as an electronics mechanic at Robins Air Force Base from 1974 to his retirement in April of 2012.He was a faithful member of Highland Park Baptist Church until moving to Georgia where he became a faithful member of Green Acres Baptist Church of Warner Robins.Survivors are: sister, Carolyn Dilley (Don) Chauncey, of Waxhaw, N.C.; nieces, Cheryl Chauncey (Larry) Tarr, of Waxhaw, N.C., and Catherine Chauncey (Chuck) Hedman, of Weddington, N.C.; nephew, Don (Sue) Chauncey Jr., of Hudson, N.H.; and great-nephews and nieces, Jacob Hedman, Dan Tarr, Ally Hedman and Charlotte Hedman.The family received friends from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, July 12, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, followed by a Graveside service at Chattanooga Memorial Park at 2:30 p.m.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.comArrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory & Florist, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN, 37343.
