LaFAYETTE Vickie Smith Gilbert, 63, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013.She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar "Surpy" Smith.Survived by her mother, Rosie Smith, LaFayette; sons and daughter-in-law, Dr. Nick (Joy) Gilbert, of Atlanta, Neil (Nichole) Gilbert, of LaFayette, and their father, Greg Gilbert; sister, Cindy Osley, Lithonia; brother, David Smith, LaFayette.Memorial service will be at LaFayette First Church of God at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.Family will receive friends at the church from 2 p.m. until service time on Sunday.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Childrens Miracle Network or to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home of LaFayette.
