ROSSVILLE Ann Loeffler Grogg, 69, passed away Sunday July 14, 2013.She was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Okla., on March 19, 1944, and was a dedicated elementary school teacher for more than 30 years, primarily in Walker County Ga., (including being honored as Teacher of the Year). She graduated from Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City, Okla., where she played the French horn in the band. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from East Tennessee State University (with honors); a Master of Arts in Education from Berry College (with honors). She was a supportive part of her husband's forty year career as a United Methodist Minister and was active in many churches of which she was a member. At the time of her passing, she was a member of McFarland United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and participated in short-term mission trips; she was also a Life Member of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, the international honorary organization for women educators.She was preceded in death by her Parents, Norman F. Loeffler Sr. and Eloise Longtin Loeffler; Brother, Norman F. Loeffler Jr.She is survived by her husband the Rev. Gary W. Grogg; daughters Amy L. Grogg and Jill E. Grogg (Jeff Weddle); grandchildren, Gus Weddle, Harper Ann Weddle, Sophie Grogg.A memorial service of celebration will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Christ United Methodist Church with Dr. Matt Hampton , the Rev. James Fillingim and Dr. B.R.
